Goals have been set, resolutions have been made.

In my letter to 2012 I wrote my hopes. Prior to that I wrote my predictions for my family. Prior to that I reviewed my year. Here I write my goals. It is remarkable how similar they are to my Resolutions via 2010--not because I failed in 2010, but because I succeeded at many of the things that I wished to accomplish and want to go further. The goals that I did not fully accomplish will likely be tasks for a lifetime. Here they are in all of their glory:

Read 52 books, including Das Book Mormon and Works of Love. (This time I will be reading the latter for an intense one month class, rather than purely for pleasure and needed self improvement).
Work toward graduation.
Stay on the left coast.
Take more time to be quiet.
Be more consistent in my thoughts and actions.
Be a temple worker with S. (Cool fact: my former Mission President is the new LA Temple President.)

Interview at least 20 more women for the Mormon Women Oral History Project. (This is something I am really, super excited about. I have started here in Vienna, and it is amazing to hear women's stories. I will likely write more on this later, but if you are a Mormon, and a woman, and would like to share your story, please let me know. I would love to interview you.)
Learn a language.
Update my HM paper.
Make real food consistently.
Drink the appropriate amount of water.
Eat the appropriate amount of sugar.
Go on slow walks/bike rides.
Journal.

I love your 2012 goal to make real food consistently. I made a goal to buy real food -- mostly plants, and to only purchase items that have less than 5 ingredients when needed. Good luck!

Kate, I love your goal too. It is perfect really. I have been trying much harder to incorporate vegetables into every meal, and it has been wonderful and surprising. I'm excited to keep trying. Also, have you read In Defense of Food? It was one of the most inspirational/best things I have ever read.

Good luck to both of us!

I love that you are part of the oral history collection! I think it is such a great idea and I can't wait to hear more about it as it progresses!
