My hot water heater has been broken for three days.

The landlord has been informed, and more than once a large van has been parked in front of my house for several hours at a time with the pretense of fixers fixing it, but still to no avail. I am not too thrilled about this.

More than anything, I feel like its just bad timing, because I'm already stressed about school/finals/final projects and presentations that it seems like a bigger thing to me than it probably is, as it has made something easy into something harder, that I have to think about. I now have a new appreciation of the marvel of turning a faucet and getting water that is not freezing, and in the meantime I have taken to boiling water for baths.

oh my, I'm so sorry to hear that. We've been in a similar position before and I understand your frustration and stress. I hope it gets fixed soon!

Quin! Come! Please come. It would make me so glad. I would love to have Courtney at my school. I cannot even explain.

“I now have a new appreciation of the marvel of turning a faucet and getting water that is not freezing…” – I hear you, Rachel. It definitely feels good to take a bath in warm water. I always appreciate the warm temperature when it comes to my bathing water. Cold water makes me shiver and casts a pal mood on my day.

With too much to do, I know how stressful that day was for you! During the cold seasons, like you, I also prefer warm baths or I might get sick if I shower in the freezing water. Anyway, I hope your landlord called reliable plumbers to fix the problem for you.

It’s been a long time, Rachel, how are you now? I can feel how hard it is to have a broken heater when it’s very cold. The tasks that you’re supposed to do were too many and having an additional thing to worry about really makes everything more difficult to do. Anyway, it’s good that you have alternatives, like boiling water. I know it’s not that convenient but it’s worth a little effort. :)
