Tonight Katie's friends from Portland (Oregon) were in town. We ate at Spikes (which I cannot get enough of lately), then headed to a Korean style karaoke place in Allston with my bike, three frying pans they found on the side of the road, and a box full of Mike's pastries. The experience was more amazing than I could ever have imagined. I laughed so hard. I danced so hard. I played the tambourine so hard. I sang so hard. My throat/voice is still hoarse. Somehow through all of this I managed to sample every pastry.
And yesterday I traipsed through Harvard Square with New Haven's Lia Kim and her lovely sister, Erin, after having a sleep over with them, and a fulfilling conversation on my rooftop. The time was passed so pleasantly.

Truth. I already am. Just ask Marianne, the KJ at Yen Wor Gardens. I see her every Saturday night. As well as Ben (the bartender) and Cassie (the waitress). They know what I like: Shirley Temples. Come visit, and I will introduce you to the rest of the regulars. Or ask me to tell you about them the next time we converse...they each offer an incredible story to tell...
Lovely, but Do Re Mi is Korean-style noraebang (not Japanese-style karaoke)! Allston is Boston's Korea town. So you should consider changing the title of your post or risk being an Oriental imperialist. Politically correctly yours.
Corrected.
i love spike's and cannot wait to eat there again. btw, tomorrow is my turn to hang out with the Kim's sister.
ps. i miss you.
I happen to heart karaoke. A lot. Dan & I's fave to 'sing' together is Boot-Scootin' Boogie. You should try it next time. It just makes the soul feel good. :)
